Pensacola Beach Report 4/16/2022
SURF
The surf is only one foot today, which would be nice for wading in but the water is still a little too chilly for us. We know the warm beach days are getting closer and it will only be a matter of time before we’re spalshing in the surf.
FISHING
We heard some reports of a large amount of amberjack sightings with a few of them being caught today. The weather is gorgeous with higher temps and calm surf perfect for catching some fish from the Pensacola Beach fishing pier or from your favorite charter boat.
BEACH
Today we ventured out to the Dr. James P Morgan Memorial Park and Botanical Garden on the soundside of Pensacola Beach. It’s a nature perserve dedicated to coastal geologist James P Morgan who was a long time resident of Pensacola Beach. This was his favorite spot on the beach and what an honor to have it perserved for others to visit and appreciate.
The temperature is 78 degrees. It’s steadily getting closer to 80 and before you know it those hot summer beach days will be here. Hanging out at Pensacola Beach for Easter weekend?! Don’t leave us out! Make sure to tag us in your post on social and use #pensacolabeachcom We can’t wait to share your pics.
