Pensacola Beach Report 5/23/2022
SURF
The surf is pretty high today coming in at 3 to 5 feet. As the day goes on, it will become smaller to about 2 to 3 feet. When we were out there the waves were definitely hitting at least the 4 foot mark.
FISHING
No one is out fishing today in this weather, but the last couple of days we have gotten lots of fish spotting reports. We’ve had reports of king mackerel as well mullet being caught off the Pensacola Beach Fishing Pier. We also had fishermen spotting tarpon and redfish, but not getting them to bite. Learn more about fishing on Pensacola Beach on our fishing page.
BEACH
We love our sunny days here at Pensacola Beach, but rainy days are a whole other vibe. We love the wildness of the beach when storms roll in. They’re the perfect time to relax, rejuvenate and still get an amazing view, especially if you’re staying on the beach. You can sit on the covered balconies and enjoy the solitude the beach offers during the storm.
The temperature was 76 degrees with the high reaching 79 degrees. It felt really nice out there besides getting rained on. The lifeguards had a red flag out, so no swimming or wading allowed today unfortunately (flags can always change throughout the day so always make sure to check). When the weather clears up we want to see you hanging out at Pensacola Beach. Make sure to tag us in your post on social and use #pensacolabeachcom so we can share your trip to the beach.
