Pensacola Beach Report 6/26/2022

The surf is small today coming in at 1 to 2 feet. The Pensacola Beach Lifeguards have the yellow flag out due to surf and wind conditions. (Flags can always change throughout the day so always make sure to check).

We got live action fishing reports at Pensacola Sports Fishing Rodeo yesterday. So many different fish that were caught during this awesome annual event. There was king mackerel, vermilion snapper, red snapper, redfish, flounder and speckled trout just to name a few. We can’t wait to hear the winners announced on Monday.

We headed out yesterday to check out the Pensacola Sports Fishing Rodeo taking place at Flounders on Pensacola Beach. This event has been going on for 40+ years. The event takes place every year for four days. The first day is for the captains meeting and registration, the second and third day are for the weigh-ins and the last day is for awards. We saw so many anglers coming in to get their fish weighed and stopping to take a picture by the leaderboard.

It was a very interesting day for Pensacola Beach weather yesterday. It started out overcast and humid and then a massive storm rolled in and camped out. The lightening was something beyond words. I’ve never seen so much lightening at one time. Today the weather is 85 degrees. It’s partly cloudy with a very high chances of showers. We hope it holds off for a little bit longer so we can enjoy the beach for a little bit longer.
