Informed Professional Practice for Outstanding Teaching and Learning

In this webinar we will explore mechanisms available to teachers and other education practitioners to support their professional development. We will look at how the application of theory to practice can have a significant impact on teaching and learning quality, as well as helping teachers to cultivate their expertise in areas that are of interest to them. Professional enquiry is at the heart of evolving professional practice: we will consider how we can make this a practical and accessible strategy for educators.

This webinar will be delivered by Joanne Robinson, BA, MA, PGCE, FCCT. Joanne is an education consultant with significant experience of leading teacher training programmes. Prior to this, she taught in secondary education for 16 years. She now delivers postgraduate courses and advises on programmes of professional development for schools. She is keen to promote inclusive education that centres upon the wellbeing and autonomy of teachers as well as pupils.
