Your Guide to Cinemas in the Sand!
Pensacola Beach’s favorite open-air movie tradition is lighting up the shoreline once again. Cinemas in the Sand returns in 2026 with another lineup of fan-favorite films and feel-good hits. Hosted by the Santa Rosa Island Authority (SRIA), this free, family-friendly series takes place on select Friday nights from March through October at the Gulfside Pavilion on Casino Beach.

March 13th – Elio
A space-obsessed boy is mistakenly named Earth’s ambassador after being transported across the universe and must find courage and confidence to make his way home.
April 17th – The Paper Bear
A father and son’s handmade paper creation comes to life, leading them on a magical journey filled with heart, humor, and lessons about creativity and belief.
May 15th – Zootopia 2
Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde tackle a new mystery in unexplored parts of Zootopia, relying on teamwork and quick thinking to protect their city.
August 14th – Goat
An underestimated farm goat sets out to prove he can be a hero in this funny and inspiring animated adventure.
September 11th – Hoppers
When humans test technology that lets them inhabit robotic animal bodies, chaos and heartfelt lessons about empathy and identity follow.
October 16th – Toy Story 5
Woody, Buzz, and the gang return for another chapter as they navigate change, friendship, and what it means to stay loyal through it all.
All movies start at sunset and are free to the public – just bring a blanket or a beach chair!
